- CPAP Humidifiers
CPAP therapy is often enhanced with humidification because about 80% of the people complain of nasal irritation or difficulty with their nasal airway. Patients’ comfort level is increased by using the heated or non-heated humidifier. The humidifier keeps the patient’s airway from drying out.
Humidifiers are available for both CPAP and BiPAP machines. Some humidifiers are also self-adjusting and are able to detect the level of humidity in the patient’s room; therefore automatically adding to the patient’s comfort level.
When patients are comfortable, they are more successful with their CPAP therapy and are more compliant.
